Anti-Infl ammatory

Introduction

Skin becomes red for many reasons, such as sunburn (mainly UVB), rough skin, dryness, scratching, acne, etc. In addition, a cosmetic laser used in hair removal and skin quality improvement also causes the skin to become red. Redness is one of the symptoms of inflammation. Although it is a normal reaction to protect yourself from external factors, excess reactions can cause further inflammation and also exacerbate it. It is also what you want to prevent where beauty is concerned.

Active oxygen species are pointed out to be a cause of inflammation. Active oxygen species have been known to trigger the production of inflammatory factors by activating genes causing inflammation.
It has been clarified from various studies that such the conspicuous pores can be solved by fullerene with excellent antioxidative power.

Improvement of Redness of the Face

With the cooperation of 18 Japanese women, gel containing 1% water soluble type Radical Sponge was applied to the entire face twice a day - once in the morning and once in the evening. Redness of the face was measured by equipment called a spectrophotometer, a device which determines the color of the skin, prior to the start of the test, after 4 weeks of application, and after 8 weeks of application.
As a result, the value of the hemoglobin index indicating redness significantly decreased by the 8th week, confirming that redness of the face could be improved by fullerene.

Against Redness Caused by Stratum Corneum Peeling

Stratum corneum can be peeled off when adhesive tape is pasted to and peeled off normal skin. When this is repeated more than ten times, an artificial, rough skin condition is created, inflammation occurs, and redness is caused. With the cooperation of Japanese men and women (a total of 11 people), an artificial rough skin condition was created on their arms using adhesive tape. Gel containing 1% water soluble type Radical Sponge was applied to this section of their arms twice a day, every morning and evening, and the redness was measured by photo.

As a result, it was confirmed that the redness improves faster by applying the gel formulated with Radical Sponge.

As a result, we confirmed that redness of the face decreased by applying gel containing 1% water soluble type Radical Sponge.

Against Redness Caused by Cosmetic Laser Irradiation

Cosmetic laser treatment is practiced at hospitals for the purpose of hair removal and skin quality improvement. With cosmetic laser treatment, light with a very strong energy is irradiated to the skin. Hair is removed by the destruction of the hair root, and the skin quality is improved by stimulating the skin in dots, reconstructing the epidermis/dermis. It is known that active oxygen is generated in the skin by the laser. Since the active oxygen is thought to be one of the causes of inflammation and therefore redness, whether fullerene, an antioxidant, can reduce the redness due to laser irradiation was examined.

Cosmetic laser irradiation was conducted on 2 subjects' arms. After irradiation, a beauty essence containing 2% liposome precursor MoistFullerene was applied twice a day, every morning and evening, and its effect was observed by photo. As a result, it was confirmed that the redness of the section to which the beauty essence containing liposome precursor MoistFullerene was applied improved faster.
